About Hong Kong Dignity Institute
Restoring Dignity to the most vulnerable in Hong Kong
Hong Kong Dignity Institute provides legal and psychosocial services to victims of human trafficking, forced marriage, people facing mental health discrimination and refugees. These individuals and families are often trapped in cycles of exploitation and abuse and face ongoing injustice and trauma.
Through our holistic and interdisciplinary approach, clients receive legal counsel and representation from our in-house Hong Kong-qualified lawyers. While at the same time receiving mental health support from our team of counsellors – helping them to understand and process the trauma that underpins their situation. The cases we take on have helped to establish groundbreaking legislative frameworks for the toughest social issues here in Hong Kong.

Established in 1963, the Heep Hong Society is a leading education and rehabilitation organisation offering professional assessment, guidance, training, and family support services for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, developmental disabilities, and learning difficulties. Each year, the Society serves over 23,000 children, youth, and their families.

Although children with SEN face significant challenges in learning, the Society believes that every child and youth has their unique talents. Many parents are committed to helping their children discover these talents, yet it is often difficult to find instructors who are knowledgeable about special needs. Therefore, Heep Hop Society has established the "Heep Hong Talent School" specifically to assist children and youth with special needs in developing their artistic and athletic abilities. The Society also collaborates with the Education University of Hong Kong to train instructors who are accepting and knowledgeable about special needs.
